Preliminary Exercise 6: Storyboarding Camerawork Day 1

Storyboards help out map out the compositions of shots. the placement and types of elements, character arrangement, and to plan out the camera movements and perspectives. Film production is the photographing, film creation, and the production of a commercial or motion picture. The product my team and I are producing is a storyboard with 16 different shots with 16 different story lines. Camerawork is the use of cameras used in a movie or type of television program. It helps in showcasing the story and showing the emotions to the audience depending on the lighting, camera angles, framing, etc. In this assignment my team and I will be using shot sizes, framing, composition, and camera angles.

Reflection

My team and I created storyboards to show our understanding on using them to plan out our film. We prepared for this exercise by discussing what our actions lines will be, the type of shots, framing, and composition. It was the three of us. Jane I, Paul T, and me, Miley N. We all did some of everything in the process of completing the storyboards. I would say I’m an expert for this certain assignment and I learned how storyboards are very important for planning a film.
